FAQ

Getting Started

What is State of Texas Roleplay?

State of Texas Roleplay, commonly referred to as STXRP, is a fictional GTA V / FiveM roleplay community focused on structured departments, immersive roleplay, professional operations, and a long-term member experience.

Is STXRP affiliated with the State of Texas or any real public safety agency?

No. State of Texas Roleplay is a fictional gaming and roleplay community. We are not affiliated with any real law enforcement agency, fire department, EMS agency, government organization, municipality, county, or state agency.

How old do I have to be to join?

You must be at least 15 years old to join State of Texas Roleplay. Some departments, divisions, positions, certifications, or leadership roles may have additional eligibility requirements.

Do I need GTA V and FiveM to participate?

Yes, if you plan to participate in in-game roleplay. Members participating in the FiveM server will need a compatible copy of GTA V and FiveM installed on a supported computer. Some website and community functions may still be accessible outside the game.

Do I need Discord?

Yes. Discord is an important part of STXRP communications, onboarding, department coordination, and account verification. Members may be required to connect their Discord account to their STXRP account before gaining full member access.

FAQ

Applications & Membership

How do I apply to join STXRP?

Available applications can be found on the Applications page. Applications are reviewed by the appropriate staff or department leadership team.

What happens after my application is approved?

Once approved, you may receive a department membership and begin onboarding. Depending on the department, this may include account and profile setup, department orientation, Discord access, required training, policy review, certifications, division placement, equipment or uniform setup, and supervisor or training sign-off.

How long does the application process take?

Processing times can vary based on the department, application volume, staff availability, and the type of application submitted. Submitting duplicate applications or repeatedly contacting staff generally will not speed up the process.

Can I apply to more than one department?

Yes, STXRP is designed to support members who participate in more than one department when permitted. Each department membership can maintain its own rank, position, division, subdivision, callsign, training, and other department-specific information while the member keeps one permanent community identity.

Can I transfer to another department later?

Yes, subject to department requirements and approval. A structured department transfer workflow is planned for the STXRP member platform.

Can I resign from a department without leaving STXRP?

Yes. Department membership and overall community membership are treated separately. A member may leave one department while remaining active elsewhere in STXRP, subject to community and department policies.

FAQ

Community Identity & EID

What is an EID?

An EID is a permanent community identifier assigned to a member. Your Community EID remains associated with you even if you join additional departments, transfer departments, change rank or position, take a Leave of Absence, or return to the community later.

Do I receive a different EID for every department?

No. STXRP uses a single Community EID model. Department memberships, ranks, positions, divisions, and callsigns are attached to that community identity.

Is my EID the same as my radio callsign?

Not necessarily. EIDs identify members within the community platform. Departments may separately assign operational radio callsigns based on agency structure, unit assignment, rank, or division.

What happens when my LOA ends?

The planned LOA workflow is expected to support return dates, notifications, membership reactivation, and any required return-from-LOA review.
